Our First Vision Board Party Workshop

Tuesday 19th November 2019, Hackney Coffee Company

As the end of 2019 is fast approaching, we start to think about the new year and new goals. Finding more efficient ways to improve ourselves as photographers and visionaries, we decided to have a vision board party workshop.

The night was full of laughter, testimonies and love. Not only did we think about what we achieved in 2019, we also spoke about goals we didn't achieve and what has been stopping us. This ended up with the ladies shouting 'same, or me too'; we ended up cheering each other on as we shared our stories. As black female photographers, we could relate to each other about things individuals thought, only they suffer from in the photography industry. That was far from the truth, it was truly a night of motivation.

We want to thank all of our sponsors for the event that gave us discount codes, food and goodies for our goodie bags, here are some of them.

Here is what of the Uk Black Female Photographers had to say about their experience:

Kimberly - www.kicaphotography.com

"It was a great opportunity to put aside the business of 'work' and be surrounded by forward-thinking women all wanting better. I got the opportunity to meet new people, make some amazing new connections and focus on ME.

I challenged myself to think about my successes, areas for improvement and create some realistic and achievable targets for 2020. I even got ideas for things

wouldn't have thought of myself which was amazing. The new year's fast approaching and I feel more prepared for the months to come. Thank you so much ladies for organising this event." Kimberley

Rakiya - www.rakiyashayphotography.co.uk

“Had a wonderful time at this years vision board party. Meeting other sisters within the industry and just discussing our goals and shared experiences within photography. The venue was stunning and everyone had the best energy. We vibrated on a whole different frequency and saw that there’s plenty of room at the table. Well our founder built our table”
